Oscar Lerma
President & Owner
Oscar's passion for seeing kids build their dreams on the soccer field is only second to his faith and family. Oscar brings to our academy a wealth of contacts and connections in the professional soccer world. If your child dreams of playing professionally, then you are in the right place. Oscar is a Lay Minister for his church in Angleton, Texas.

Joel McKinnon
Academy Director & Vice President
Coach Joel McKinnon is the Founder and Director of Coaching for Pursuit FC. Joel, through Pursuit FC, runs OJL Soccer Academy and serves as our Academy Director. He holds a National B Coaching Licenses and a National Goalkeeping License, through the US Soccer Federation along with almost 40 years of coaching experience. He has helped hundreds of athletes to earn collegiate scholarships and focuses on the holistic development of athletes. He is also a coach for ODP (Olympic Development Program) under South Texas Youth Soccer Association. In January 2026, he retired as the Lead Pastor of a church in Angleton, TX. His passion for soccer and developing youth are evident.

Edgar Orozco
Academy/Pursuit FC Trainer
Edgar joined the Pursuit FC and OJL Academy staff on January 9, 2026. He competed in Mexico with Cholos de Tijuana (Ascenso) during the pivotal era before the club’s rise to the Primera División, sharpening his game against hardened professionals chasing promotion. He also trained and featured in high-performance environments with the Mexico National Team. He played both as a goalkeeper and a field player. Edgar is excited to see the mission of Pursuit FC and OJL Soccer Academy come to fruition.
